Aboveground Storage Tanks
In Mississippi all aboveground tanks are regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). EPA’s Aboveground Storage Tank Program is administrated by the Region 4’s Emergency Response Program. Questions and inquiries should be directed to Ted Walden at (404) 562-8752.
For aboveground tanks, also check with the local Fire Marshall’s office and city and county governments for any regulations that they might have regarding aboveground storage tanks. Aboveground propane tanks are regulated by the L C Gas Division of the Insurance Department. You may call them at (601) 359-1064.
