Jackson, MS – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted a beach water contact advisory for East Courthouse Road Beach.
Water samples at this station show the area has reached acceptable bacteria levels. There are no beach water contact advisories on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at this time.
An advisory has been lifted for:
- East Courthouse Road Beach — the previously affected area is from Courthouse Rd. east to Tegarden. (Station 10B)
Swimmers are reminded that the Beach Task Force has a standing recommendation that swimming should not occur during or within 24 hours of significant rainfall.
