MDEQ Lifts Water Contact Advisory for Snake Creek in Raymond

(JACKSON, MS) – MDEQ is lifting the water contact advisory previously issued for Snake Creek in Raymond.

Following the prior release of wastewater from the Raymond publicly owned sewer collection system, all repairs have been completed, and counts have returned to acceptable levels for Snake Creek.

The previously affected area was from where Snake Creek crosses underneath Mississippi Hwy 19 and continues to where Snake Creek crosses underneath the Natchez Trace (see attached map).
