(JACKSON, MS) – MDEQ has lifted a water contact advisory previously issued following the release of wastewater into Gibbs Creek in Grenada County. 

The affected area covered a section of Gibbs Creek from MS-8 to where it meets with Grenada Lake and its crossing with Old MS-8 (see attached map).  Grenada Lake itself was not included in the advisory.
