MDEQ Lifts Temporary Advisory for the Chickasway River and Two Tributaries

(Jackson, Miss.) – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has lifted a temporary water contact advisory that was issued July 1 for Eucutta and Nicholson Creeks and a nearby portion of the Chickasway River.

Water sampling by MDEQ staff indicates the water bodies have returned to normal levels.
