MDEQ Issues Beach Closure in Bay St. Louis
(Jackson, Miss.) – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has issued a beach closure Tuesday for a section of the beach from Beauvoir Road to the east end of Sadler Beach Drive.
The closure is being preemptively issued due to a sewage overflow located at Brady Drive Biloxi, MS.
MDEQ advises residents not to enter the water or consume any seafood collected from these nearshore waters until further notice. MDEQ will monitor the water and lift the closure when bacteria levels indicate conditions are safe for water contact.
