Local Government Collection Programs
Several local governments and organizations in Mississippi offer permanent drop-off locations for residents to bring their unwanted electronics. Below are the local e-waste recycling programs known to MDEQ. If there is not a program for your area, please contact your local solid waste program coordinator, board of supervisors, or city officials to see if they offer such a program. Accepts household hazardous waste including batteries, cell phones, computers, fluorescent light bulbs, and more (see website for a complete listing). Homeowner must drop-off the wastes (no contractors). No disposal fee charged to homeowners. Drop-offs are accepted only during business hours which are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the fourth Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
