The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) awarded Hancock County a solid waste assistance grant of $50,000 that will be used by the county for a household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the Coast Electric Power Association facility in Kiln.
