MDEQ Lifts Water Contact Advisory


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory for a beach monitoring station in Gulfport on Saturday. Water samples at this station show the area has attained acceptable bacteria levels. There are currently no stations across the Mississippi Gulf Coast under an advisory.The advisor has been lifted for the following station:

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted water contact advisories for two beach monitoring stations on Friday. Water samples at these station show the areas have attained acceptable bacteria levels. There is currently one other station under an advisory.Advisories have been lifted for the following stations:

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Thursday accepted three new members and eight renewal memberships into its enHance program for the 2016 class. The recognition was part of the annual workshop and awards luncheon held in Jackson.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory for one beach monitoring station in Hancock County on Thursday. Water samples at this station show the area has attained acceptable bacteria levels. In addition, an advisory was issued for Station 7 in Pass Christian.
