MDEQ Lifts Three Water Contact Advisories and Issues One Five Other Advisories in Effect
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted three water contact advisories Tuesday for sampling stations 1, 7, and 10. In addition, an advisory was issued for station 14. Advisories are still in effect for stations 2, 3, 11, 12A, and 15.
MDEQ Issues Two Water Contact Advisories in Hancock County and One in Harrison County
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, issued two water contact advisories Friday for sampling stations 2 and 3 in Hancock County and one for station 12A in Biloxi. Advisories are still in effect for stations 1, 7, 10, 11, and 15.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Wednesday for sampling station 8. The agency also issued an advisory for station 10. Advisories are still in effect for stations 1, 7, 11, and 15.
MDEQ Issues Two Water Contact Advisories
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, issued water contact advisories Tuesday for sampling stations 1 and 11. These segments of beach are not closed; however, there may be an increased risk of illness associated with swimming in these areas. Advisories are still in effect for stations 7, 8, and 15.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted three water contact advisories for beach monitoring stations 1, 6, and 13A on Friday. Water samples at these stations show the areas have attained acceptable bacteria levels. There are currently three other stations under an advisory.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) awarded the City of Durant a solid waste assistance grant of $15,000 that will be used by the city to clean up illegal dump sites.
